Tensor Fasciae Latae has an origin and a complex insertion.

BLOOD SUPPLY :

Tensor Fasciae Latae is supplied by the Superior and Inferior Gluteal Arteries. It also receives blood from the branches of the Femoral Artery.

NERVE SUPPLY :

Tensor Fasciae Latae gets innervated by the Superior Gluteal Nerve.

ACTION :

Tensor Fasciae Latae stabilizes the Hip and the Knee joint while standing specially on one foot.

It also flexes and medially rotates the Hip joint.
